International Manifesto in Support of
Kshama Sawant for Seattle’s City Council

 

On November 5 KSHAMA SAWANT, a teacher and social activist who obtained impressive popular support in the primary elections, will fight for a position in the city council of the city of SEATTLE, USA. Her candidacy is supported by a broad alliance of socialists, environmentalists, unions, alternative media and community organizations, under a program that focuses on raising the minimum wage, promoting the right to housing and education, defending the environment and the commons, and fighting against corporate privileges, corruption, racism and police brutality.

From different parts of the world, we want to show our warm support for KSHAMA SAWANT’s candidacy, and our desire to celebrate with the people of SEATTLE her election as a municipal spokesperson for the interests of the 99%.
